Denver Fire Protection is a full-service fire protection company specializing in the inspection, service, and installation of fire sprinklers, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, backflows, and pre-engineered suppression systems. We pride ourselves on delivering top-quality service and maintaining the highest safety standards. We are seeking a qualified Fire and Life Safety Inspector to join our growing team.

Position Overview:
As a Fire and Life Safety Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing a variety of life safety systems, including fire sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, BDA (bi-directional amplifiers), fire alarms, and fire panels. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to complete and submit inspection reports on-site and on the same day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, BDA systems, fire alarms, and fire panels in accordance with NFPA codes (NFPA 25, NFPA 101, NFPA 10, NFPA 72, etc).

  • Perform backflow prevention device testing and submit reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Accurately document and submit inspection reports on-site and on the same day.

  • Identify and communicate deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.

  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach while working on-site.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire and life safety codes and regulations.

  • Maintain equipment and company vehicle in a clean and operational condition.

Qualifications:

  • Licensing/Certifications (Required):

  • Valid Fire and Life Safety inspection licenses and/or NICET certification.

  • ASSE or ABPA backflow certification (must be current and valid).

  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 25 and NFPA 72 codes.

  • Clean background check (required for work in government buildings and schools).

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical duties related to inspections.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and accurate report documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multiple NICET certifications or advanced fire protection certifications.

  • Experience working with Service Trade or other inspection software.

  • Previous experience in government or educational facility inspections.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
